In an email received from Timothy Rohrer, Kettle Moriane ATV Association, the the Town Board on August 23, 2022:
On October 29, 2022 the Wisconsin ATV/UTV Association (WATAVA), Kettle Moraine ATV Association (KMATVA) and Lakeshore ATV/UTV Club will be hosting the 15th annual Wisconsin ATV/UTV Charity Ride benefiting “Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.” This will be only the second year the event and ride have been held in Southeast Wisconsin. The ride (Start and Finish), event and banquet will be held at the Washington County Fair Park and Convention Center (3000 CTH PV, West Bend, WI) in Washington County. Riders will be using ATV/UTV legal road routes throughout the area.
The reason for this correspondence is to let the municipalities and counties within the area know of the event and possible extra ordinary volume of traffic from ATV/UTVs in the area. In the past few years, the event has drawn approximately 150-175 participants. October 29th will be the heaviest traffic day; however, you may also have extra ATV/UTV traffic on Thursday and Friday as we prepare for the event. Heaviest ATV/UTV traffic will be near the West Bend area, and dispersing from there. We have a few “lunch special” location throughout the area, which could also bring more ATV/UTV traffic to isolated locations. In the event a resident were to contact you asking about the additional ATV/UTV traffic, hopefully this will help explain it for them. A few municipalities have agreed to approve temporary road routes to accomplish the task of leaving the Washington County Fair Park and Convention Center.
Please feel free to post information on websites and social media to notify citizens of the potential for increased ATV/UTV traffic. Thank you in advance for any assistance in notifying residents in to keep everyone safe.
